Southwest Rubber and Supply Co. is a FLEXCO distributor with a comprehensive inventory of fastener products. Our staff's extensive expertise in fastener selection and installation will ensure that you select the right product for your application to improve belt performance and extend belt life.

LACING
Designed with teeth that enter parallel to the length of the belt and imbed clear through the belt carcass. The teeth are formed so that when they are driven into the belt, the vital longitudinal carcass fibers are not severed. Provides a strong, vise-like hold on the belt and distributes belt tension evenly across the entire belt width. Applications: manufacturing assembly lines, food, package and parts handling, checkout counters and agricultural equipment. Low profile, one-piece design results in an exceptionally smooth joint.

Hook and Pin
The double-staggered grip pattern gives wire hooks exceptional holding power without degrading the integrity of the belt carcass. The points of the fastener pass through the belt carcass and are formed over, locking the carcass between them. The low profile splice is compatible with conveyor components and compliant with the need for reduced operating noise. Applications include: package & parts handling, food processing, checkout counters, commercial laundries, filter media and agriculture.

Staple
Utilizes high tensile, stainless steel staple attachment, in conjunction with an extended plate design. This design separates the point of fastener penetration from the line of belt flexing to eliminate splice fatiguing action at the point of attachment. Staple fasteners are furnished in strips with a bridge between each fastener plate; this strip design prevents individual parts from getting into the product being conveyed. Applications: light & medium-duty conveyor belts in package and baggage handling, cased goods, parts, food, wood and agricultural products. Fastener has a smooth, low profile for operating with diverters and shears.

Solid Plate
The plates are mounted above and below the belt, with high tensile strength bolts, and thus the compression resulting in great strength. The compression distributes the splice tension across the full width of each fastener plate. The teeth on each plate, imbed deep into the belt carcass, without damaging the carcass fibers. Applications include: coal, Hard-Rock mining, foundries, grain elevators, aggregate plants, and steel mills.

Rivet Hinged
The rivet works between the carcass fibers, without severing them, leaving the entire belt carcass intact. The rivets are self-settling, allowing for quick install of the fasteners from the top side of the belt. Rivets are driven through the fastener plates and the belt, passing between the carcass fibers. Applications include: underground mining, hay baling.

Bolt Hinged
Provide a flexible joint for belts operating over small pulleys. The bolt hinge is fastened to the belt end with high strength bolts that compress the plates into the belt cover. The fastener teeth are imbedded in the belt without damaging the belt carcass, providing additional holding capability. The bolt hinge design, distributes the splice tension across the entire plate width while the teeth secure the fastener into the belt carcass to resist pull-out. Applications include: construction equipment, road machinery, coal, salt & potash mines, stacking & stockpiling belts, other applications involving small pulleys.
